Overview

The Process Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient receipt, sampling, and transfer of raw materials delivered via tanker trucks into designated bulk storage tanks. This role ensures all incoming materials meet quality standards prior to unloading and that all processes are executed in compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and environmental requirements. This position is anticipated to last approximately six (6) months.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the receipt of raw materials in alignment with production schedules and operational needs
  • Perform sampling of incoming materials according to standard operating procedures
  • Verify that all materials are tested and approved by Quality Control prior to unloading
  • Safely transfer approved materials into designated bulk storage tanks using proper equipment
  • Monitor unloading operations to maintain product integrity and prevent contamination or spills
  • Accurately document receipt, sampling, testing status, and transfer activities in required systems
  • Communicate effectively with Quality Control, drivers, and internal teams to support workflow efficiency
  • Conduct routine equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and environmental standards
  • Participate in safety trainings, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, or bulk material handling preferred
  • Familiarity with tanker unloading procedures and safety protocols is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures
  • Basic computer skills for documentation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Essential Functions

  • Ability to stand, bend, walk , climb, and lift as needed during shifts
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Must be able to recognize potential safety dangers around plant equipment and walk-ways.
  • Must be able to work 12- hour shifts  in outdoors conditions
