Overview

We are seeking a Safety Manager for our Install Services construction and fabrication division in Albany, Georgia. This candidate will cultivate a positive safety culture through the utilization of communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead safety training initiatives for new hires and provide continuous education for all employees to ensure safety protocols are adhered to.
  • Be responsible for ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and our company policies.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective action.
  • Consulted on and handled investigations to determine root causes for accidents, incidents and near misses with Root Cause Analysis.
  • Develop preventative measurements for accidents, incidents, coordinate emergency response plans and procedures
  • Expected to stay up to date on industry standards and best practice for occupational health and safety.

Qualifications

  • 5 years’ experience in Construction Management and Site Safety in an industrial plant environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effectively collaborate with all levels of personnel including but not limited to construction, engineering, and site customers.
  • Experience administering and enforcing Environmental, Safety & Health policies (LOTO, Hot Work, Working at Elevation, etc.)
  • OSHA 30 for Construction
  • Current CPR, First Aid, & AED certification
  • Accident and Incident investigation - Root Cause Analysis reporting
  • Strong computer proficiency – Safety Education Apps and Microsoft Office

Essential Functions

  • Fieldwork is required.
  • Must be able to climb ladders, walk over crossovers, and access equipment.
  • Must be capable of walking the distance from parking lot to designated job area, in addition to walking throughout a large manufacturing plant during course of day for required meetings and other required duties.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug screening, Background check and motor vehicle report (MVR) according to company and client policies.
