  • Overview

    As a member of a multi-disciplined engineering team, the successful candidate will function as a hands-on engineer providing mechanical process expertise for project design, construction, commissioning, and start-up as related to industrial process engineering for clients in the chemical, paper, and food & beverage industries for our office located in Kennesaw, GA. Will follow client defined standards and scope and maintain communication and interface with appropriate client contacts. Some travel required, estimated to be 25%.


    2-5+ years of relevant engineering experience in an industrial, consumer products or related industry strongly preferred. Must have a detailed understanding of mechanical process concepts. Must be capable of interacting with contractors and plant personnel, including operators, maintenance, engineering, and management.


    Responsibilities will vary according to project. Will assist Project Managers with the development of project scope and schedule. Will generate proposals and budgets, working closely with the client. Will create P&ID drawings and be responsible for process piping design, and equipment & instrumentation specifications. Will coordinate activities and contractors during installation and construction.


    • BSME or BSChemE or related degree required
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
    • Ability to develop process pipe sizing and pump calculations
    • Ability to read and create P&ID drawings
    • Sanitary experience a plus
    • Liquid process experience a plus

    Essential Functions

    • Must be able to climb ladders, walk over crossovers, and access equipment
    • Must be able to climb a caged personnel ladder
    • Must be capable of walking the distance from parking lot to designated job area (may be 1 mile+), in addition to walking throughout a large manufacturing plant during course of day for required meetings and other required duties.
