Operating, maintaining, and repairing high speed machinery in a plant environment. Steel-toed safety shoes required. May be standing for up to 100% of 12-hour shifts and will need to be able to lift 20-30 lbs.


  • Packaging equipment to include cap sorter, filler, heat tunnel, trimmer, and case packer. 
  • Start and stop, monitor quality, clear jams, reset home, restart production, perform changeovers, and equipment set up.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical problems and replace machine parts if needed
  • Perform repairs as necessary, as well as regular cleaning and maintenance procedures required on shiftly, daily, weekly, and monthly bases.
  • Adhere to lockout/tag-out policy and wear all required PPE.
  • Perform quality inspections and record results in SAP.


  • Computer, math, mechanical, interpersonal and technical knowledge is needed.
  • Ability to problem-solve and lead/take charge of situations.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.

Essential Functions

  • Must be able to operate and work around industrial equipment
  • Must be able to walk up and down stairways to platforms
  • Must walk in pedestrian walk-ways (due to forklift traffic)
  • Must be able to recognize potential safety dangers around plant equipment and walk-ways
  • Must be able to lift and move up to a 50-pound load
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time (majority of work will be conducted from a standing position)
  • Must be capable of walking the distance from parking lot to designated job area (may be 1 mile+), in addition to walking throughout a large manufacturing plant during course of day for required meetings and other required duties.
