Operating, maintaining, and repairing high speed machinery in a plant environment. Steel-toed safety shoes required. May be standing for up to 100% of 12-hour shifts and will need to be able to lift 20-30 lbs.
Packaging equipment to include cap sorter, filler, heat tunnel, trimmer, and case packer.
Start and stop, monitor quality, clear jams, reset home, restart production, perform changeovers, and equipment set up.
Troubleshoot mechanical problems and replace machine parts if needed
Perform repairs as necessary, as well as regular cleaning and maintenance procedures required on shiftly, daily, weekly, and monthly bases.
Adhere to lockout/tag-out policy and wear all required PPE.
Perform quality inspections and record results in SAP.
Computer, math, mechanical, interpersonal and technical knowledge is needed.
Ability to problem-solve and lead/take charge of situations.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Must be able to operate and work around industrial equipment
Must be able to walk up and down stairways to platforms
Must walk in pedestrian walk-ways (due to forklift traffic)
Must be able to recognize potential safety dangers around plant equipment and walk-ways
Must be able to lift and move up to a 50-pound load
Must be able to stand for long periods of time (majority of work will be conducted from a standing position)
Must be capable of walking the distance from parking lot to designated job area (may be 1 mile+), in addition to walking throughout a large manufacturing plant during course of day for required meetings and other required duties.
