Manufacturing facility seeks experienced Machine Operators to operate high-speed equipment and lift trucks in a plant environment. Steel-toed safety shoes are required. Will work 12 hour rotating shifts. Approximate duration: 6+ months.
Efficiently operate high-speed equipment and drive a lift truck
Operate a computer keyboard to input and access data
Interpret gauges, dials, written operating instructions and safety warnings
Must be able to read and comprehend high school level material
Use basic hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, hammers, etc.
Must meet the requirements of safe operation and personal safety, including wearing hearing protection, eye protection, foot protection and respirators, and the ability to respond appropriately to alarms, horns and other operating and safety signals
Ability to work rotating shifts, which includes some weekends.
Ability to work at heights and climb stairs/ladders/platforms, etc., on and around equipment for the purpose of operating, maintaining and simple troubleshooting
Ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds
Ability to push and pull objects requiring up to 50 pounds of force
Ability to kneel, squat, twist, turn and bend at the knees and back
