Overview

As a member of a multi-disciplined engineering team this resource will function as a hands-on engineer providing functional expertise for project design, construction, commissioning, and start-up as related to industrial electrical projects for clients in various industries for our office located in Kennesaw, GA. Position requires up to 50% travel.

Responsibilities

The Electrical Engineer will use engineering principles to design and/or improve the client's manufacturing electrical systems in various types of industrial environments.  Will follow client defined standards and scope, and maintain communication and interface with appropriate client contacts. Responsible for low/medium power distribution, design of control panels, light, grounding, transformers, etc. May participate on project teams across multiple clients simultaneously.   

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or related required
  • Client support and interface skills
  • Construction experience including electrical installation scope of work and bid package development as well as bid walks and clarification process
  • Plant Low Voltage Distribution from Gear to PDPs and MCCs
  • MCC Design to Include Elevation and Single Lines
  • VFD Drive Systems up to 50 HP
  • Power Distribution and Lighting Panel Schedules
  • Working Knowledge of NFPA Requirements
  • Complete Control Panel Design up to 500 I/O Points
  • Safety Circuit Design of Various SIL and Category Levels
  • Field commissioning and start-up experience
  • Some field work is required which could involve climbing ladders, climbing onto platforms, crawling around in machinery and walking for extended periods of time.
