A large manufacturing facility is seeking an E&I Technician with a power and controls background.

Experienced individual with electrical troubleshooting experience with motors, sensors, motor control centers, and other components used in an automated industrial manufacturing facility. Must ensure compliance is met in regards to safety, quality, GMP’s and FDA. 12 hour rotating shift work. Business may require the plant to change the length of work shifts or rotation schedule.  Assignment is anticipated to last approximately 6 months.


Maintaining and troubleshooting power and controls equipment on manufacturing lines

Using electrical test equipment to diagnose electrical problems
Performing preventive maintenance and calibrations on equipment
Troubleshooting and monitoring PLC systems
Assisting with start-up and shutdowns

Operating, maintaining and cleaning automated equipment

Maintaining accurate records and data



RS Logix 5000 experience required

Knowledge of AB PLC 5 and 500 as well as Wonderware, Panelview, and Proficy software required

Must have SAP experience

Ability to understand CAM movement

Strong technical, interpersonal and problem solving skills

Basic computer knowledge

Ability to use basic hand and power tools, lift 50 lbs. by bending and stooping; climb, stand, and move around on stairs, ladders and platforms; twist, turn and bend; enter confined spaces; and stand on hard floors for an extended period of time.


PPE required for this facility is steel toe safety shoes, ear protection, and eye protection.
