Operating, maintaining, and repairing high speed machinery in a plant environment. Steel-toed safety shoes required. May be standing for up to 100% of 12-hour shifts and will need to be able to lift 20-30 lbs. Approximate duration: 6+ months
Operate Unit Load formers, palletizers, and shrink wrapper equipment controlled by on-line computer terminals. GMP environment and FDA regulated.
Start and stop, monitor quality, clear jams, reset home, restart production, perform changeovers, and equipment set up.
Troubleshoot mechanical problems and replace machine parts if needed (limit switches, belts/chains, pulleys, cams, air and grease lines, couplings, and glue nozzles).
Perform repairs as necessary, as well as regular cleaning and maintenance procedures required on shiftly, daily, weekly, and monthly bases.
Maintain accurate records and data for all operations.
Will require frequent operation of sit-down forklift. Must have previous forklift certification.
Adhere to lockout/tag-out policy and wear all required PPE.
Computer, math, mechanical, interpersonal and technical knowledge is needed.
Strong computer / data-entry skills
Strong attention to detail
Sit-down forklift experience
Experienced with RCTIS or similar scanning system
Ability to problem-solve and lead/take charge of situations
Ability to work as part of a team
LO/TO – must be familiar and have experience at the plant level
